2020 Katelyn Solos (14 yrs old)

DANIELSON, CT – Connecticut Soaring Association is thrilled to announce the club’s latest member, first solo flight by Katelyn Tryon on November 27, 2020. Katelyn (C), who recently celebrated her 14th birthday, is pictured after her first solo flight with her CFI-G and very proud grandfather, Roger Tryon (L). Katelyn’s flying is already marked by smooth landings and an uncanny ability to find lift. Katelyn looks forward to a career in aviation. She shares her passion for soaring with her grandfather who began soaring at age 13 and now as a retired American Airlines Captain instructs for CSA on most weekends.
